FAQ - Configuration of 'headless' devices

Question
I do not know how to configure my TBS 'headless' device (2D STATION, 2D MINI etc.). How to access it?

Answer
Headless TBS devices are all devices in the TBS portfolio without a touchscreen. In factory reset state, there are two options to configure them:
  1. TBS Remote app (requires firmware 2.xx and installed Bluetooth module)
  2. Direct configuration via DeviceConfig (IP address of device must be known)
Pls contact TBS support for details on Option 1.

For direct configuration via DeviceConfig please follow these steps:
Devices running 1.09.x firmware and newer try to get IP address via DHCP automatically by default. If DHCP server is not available they switch to default IP 192.168.160.90 after a while (approximately 1 minute).
Devices running older firmware have static IP address 192.168.160.90 set by default.

Please enter IP address in web browser in the same network and open DeviceConfig web interface to change IP address settings according to your installation needs. Refer to firmware manuals (for version 1.xx and 2.xx) explaining how to reach DeviceConfig and network settings.
